It was the fall of 1990.  All you could hear was the thunder of Harleys as a small group of bikers pulled up in front of the local titty bar.  As they went inside to warm up to a few beers and check out the entertainment, they laughed about all the good times they had throughout the years.
One of them, who calls himself "Possum", said, "We should form a motorcycle club!".
and slammed his fist down on the bar.  The others thought for a while and all agreed that Possum had a good idea.
They came up with a set of by-laws and rules that fit their interests, which by the way, were "Brotherhood,Trust, and American Pride".
And so the Circle of Pride MC was born.  Dedicated to the freedom of the road and the traditional "Biker" lifestyle
Now, ten years later, the small group has gotten a little bigger but their interests remain the same. The Circle of Pride MC still believes in "Brotherhood,Trust, and American Pride".
Over the years the club has obtained a small patch of land in southeastern Iowa near a small town called Conesville, Iowa that they call "home".  There they throw some of the biggest and wildest biker bashes this side of Sturgis.  Sometimes, these bashes are better than Sturgis.  Simply because there are less rules.  Nudity and vulgar language run rampid!  Two of the bashes are called the "Hog Wild Rodeo" and "Thunder In The Sand".  With all the proceeds going to local and national charities.
Nine years ago, at the first Hog Wild Rodeo, 127 bikers came to party as only bikers can do.  This year, almost 9,000 bikers were there.  The Thunder in the Sand bash has grown as well.  These bikers must be doing something right.  Let's say that these bashes are the "Best Biker Bash For The Buck".
Some of the entertainment at these bashes include Jimmy VanZant, Hank Rotten JR., The Fryed Brothers band , The Burnt River Band, and Chain Lightning to name a few.  They also have a 1/8 mile drag strip where Outlaw Drag Racing is held, along with Jet Cars, Monster Trucks, and Motorcycle Demo Derbys.  Biker Magazine  has done a few atricles with pictures and everything.  If you had the December, 2000 issue, you could check it out for yourself.
There is beautiful camping and hot showers available.  And talk about cold beer and hot babes?  There's plenty of that too!  Our own "What-T-Shirt Contest" is getting famous for miles around.
The Circle of Pride MC has always considered, and always will consider, the patch of land that the bashes are held at, neutral territory.  Everyone is welcome!  It doesn't matter what you ride or what you wear! (it's that brotherhood thing I mentioned earlier).  EVERYONE has a great time!
The Circle of Pride MC takes an active role in the Iowa Confederation of Clubs.
The Circle of Pride MC would never dream of leaving another biker stranded on the side of the road.  No matter what he/she rode or wore.  (again, it's that brotherhood thing).
The Circle of Pride MC has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to local and national charities over the years.  Something that they are extreemly proud of.  That goes to show ya that "Bikers" ain't all that bad.
I think you get the picture.  Check out the FAQ and PIC pages of this site for an even better idea of what the Circle of Pride MC stands for.
